Time for the comeback of my “Bands with more than one lead singer” gimmick. These guys released another solid album, Moms, last month, and will be playing at the Triple Rock in Minneapolis this Saturday night. I’ll make a pledge to buy any WGOMer who comes down to check the show out a drink. For now, here’s drummer Danny Seim on lead vocals, and head below the jump for another (and a special bonus video!):
Here’s a second track from their new album, “Heavy Is as Heavy Does”, with Justin Harris on lead vocals.
Now, the bonus: to solidify my musical bromance with nibbish, here’s former Menomena member Brent Knopf’s band Ramona Falls with “Spore” from their 2012 album Prophet.
I saw them at the Entry in June, and though I recognized Knopf hanging around the merch table before and during the opening act’s set, he was always speaking to someone else so I never got a chance to chat him up. I did, however, find out when Ramona Falls hit the stage that I’d been standing next to their bassist during the whole opening set without realizing it.
