WGOM Fitness: 8 January 2013, Counter to the Plan

Yesterday, of course, I worked out early in the AM before I wrote my post, so there's no new exercise outings to report. Last night, being my penultimate night here before I leave to ND was one that I wanted to work on things around the house. My wife, it seems had made other plans. Other plans that really ran counter to just about everything I hoped to accomplish. The upshot is that we ended up at Mancini's in St. Paul. I had a 10 oz. piece of chicken that wasn't too bad, I guess. My father-in-law really liked those kinds of places, but I have to tell you that (a) I don't like eating out that much and (b) I really don't care to go to old time supper clubs. I'm going to discuss this more in detail at the Neighborhood. I have thought about what normal will be when I get done with this diet. I'm not sure that normal will be much different from where I am now. The scale was up today and is up two pounds since January 1, despite all of my working out and calorie watching. I think my body has totally gotten used to eating this much. I have to say that I'm not hungry and I don't think my body is starving. I have been steadily improving in my workouts. I have committed to stage two, i.e. adding strength training, so I don't want to go back on that because that is so important to me. I'm pissed off, though, that I've stalled out 15 pounds from the goal. To address that, I will focus on weight reduction in ND and stage two here. Also, when I am in ND, I will be controlling my eating. No forays to the supper club or Culver's.

Tonight's workout is in jeopardy, too. I have to get ready for my trip and it is Culver's night for my daughter's school. Oh, goodie. More eating out, this time at a fast food joint.

  1. 10-oz piece of chicken? Jiminy. Did you have half a bird?

You know, they have these things called doggie bags. 🙂

  2. I went to spinning last night and it wiped me out. There were more hills in that "ride" than the entire MS 150!
