- Real Salt Lake drew away to Monterrey 2-2 in the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions League Final on an 89th minute goal by Javier Morales. The return leg in Salt Lake is scheduled for Wednesday at 9:00 Central.

Sounders' striker Steve Zakuani likely out for the year with double leg break. Video is up at Dirty Tackle, among others I'm sure. But do yourself a favor and don't watch it. It's Theismann-esque.
Saw it during the game on Friday when it happened. The worst part of the video is that you can easily hear the leg break when it happens. Mullan's "apology" after the game was pathetic. I'm hoping he gets 8-10 games, but it probably won't be that long. I don't think he really wanted to hurt Zakuani, but it's tough to look past the events leading up to the tackle, where he clearly thought he was fouled, complained to the ref, then went to to ball and came in hard and late.

I didn't hear the break, since I have the sound off at work, but it doesn't surprise me that the break is audible.
Zakuani seems like a good guy, and apparently he had a bad motorcycle/moped accident that required a long recovery earlier in his life, so for his sake, hopefully he's able to make a full recovery.
Is RSL and Monterrey going to be televised anywhere? Couldn't find any indication that it would be.
FoxSoccer lists it as being aired live at 9PM Central Wednesday.
CONCACAF has had most of the Champion's League games available for streaming at their website, too. I have been blacked out of a couple, but I haven't figured out what their blackout restrictions are. You have to register, but it's free, so it might be worth a shot if you don't get FSC.
