1. I definitely admire Jeff Beck's music.

   Much prefer the original of this song.

   1. Somehow it completely went by my radar that this was a cover song. Wow.

      1. which makes Jeff Beck the most underrated musician of the last 20 40 years.

      2. Yeah. Korgis' version hit the radio for a while. Another cover was used during Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind end credits, also not as good, IMO

            1. Oh, I guess it might be. It wasn't this live performance, but maybe it was Beck.

      3. I only know the Field's cover. Which until now I didn't realize was a cover.
         I mostly listen to an edit I made of just the second half, which is instrumental only. (Starting at 2:50.)

2. Funny. Just yesterday I was thinking I hadn't seen a lot of Beck on the WGOM. I think he's great, this isn't one of my faves however.

3. i'm a fan of his, no question, but i just can't help but see being a scientologist as a character flaw.

   1. Why should that come into it? Also, I don't think we have any scientologists here, but mocking a religion might be dangerous form.

      1. a bit after i typed it, i decided it probably would have been best if i hadn't, though i'm comfortable that i'm not mocking a religion.

         1. Good enough. I think a Scientologist who happened by, though, might feel differently, which is why I've always liked that we don't comment much on world religions here.

4. I don't know how you can call a guy who has sold millions of records, received extensive airplay, and garnered (for the most part) critical hosannas from the press "underrated".

   2. He's kindof neglected by the hipster/pitchfork/undamaged-robot crowd.
