  1. So who wants to meet Sweden in the Finals? Let's rain down some nordic payback on those blonde swedish hussies!

Also, this may be a stupid question but is Hope Solo related to Han Solo?

    1. is Hope Solo related to Han Solo?

This would have been my lead-in, though

      blonde swedish hussies

      isn't too shabby either.

      1. I'm pretty sure I heard her say "I've got a bad feeling about this" back in the 2007 World Cup, right before the semi-finals against Brazil....

and Greg Ryan called her a "scruffy nerf-herder".

  2. If you put "Hope Solo" into Google, one of the suggested searches is "Hope Solo boyfriend" It would appear she is newly single.

  3. Abby Wambach's goal as voiced by Gus Johnson:

    1. This was pretty great.

The match was one of those happy accidents for me. Turned on the TV when I got back from church and stumbled across it. Turns out I got to see an awesome, thrilling, great game. Right up there among the best I've seen.

  4. KC with a couple of disappointing draws (although I didn't get to see any of either), but hanging around the top half of the conference standings.

Mrs. Mak suggested we go to a game sometime at the new park, so I've got to find a good matchup to take in.
