I have been spending some time on pitchfork lately. I have learned that it is very fashionable to sing in a punk rock/metal hybrid that sounds like a lo-fi Kings of Leon singer dude. You know, you gotta have that lo-fi for street cred. Because, duh, Kings of Leon totally sold out after their first record. Anyway, I'd prefer if the singer of this band had a shirt on.

I have to admit I still think Kings of Leon's second record is by far their best one.
I never noticed the KoL connection, but I get it now.
I've listened to the full album, and I only really dig the song "Dirt", but I dig that one a lot. I think if I saw a video of them performing it, it would lose some of its mystique. I wanted them to have ski masks on like OFWGKTA did at the start of their performance on Fallon. Ski masks and a megaphone.
my friend's band came through chi-town, and was followed by a retched band, made worse by the fact that the lead guitar player kept slowly taking off his shirt. they started off all right, but got worse and worse with each button undone. we went outside to smoke and catch up and i predicted the shirt would be completely off by the time we got back and they would be complete suck. i was right.
