  1. I managed to miss Saturday's slate of games, which of course robbed me of my own. I woke up and just plain didn't think about the fact that it was Saturday, although I had an interview at noon and therefore must have known on some level.

QPR winning at Everton is wild. I wish I'd seen that one, too.

    1. It was crap. Utter crap. Everton didn't make any attempt to attack until the last few minutes (Saha didn't sub in until the 70th, IIRC). Just garbage.

  2. First of all, losing the derby at home sucks, but Newcastle deserved the points, so it's hard to complain about it. It looks like that if Sunderland can score some goals, they'll be OK, but there will probably be some weeks where it just doesn't click for them. Still pretty optimistic that a top half finish is possible.

Sporting KC is into second place in the conference! After starting with only 7 points in their first 11 games, they have been pretty unstoppable (only losing two matches - both to Seattle - since the middle of May). The next stretch is plenty tough*, but it's been fun to watch them claw all the way back to their current position.

    * their next 6 games are against the top 4 teams in each conference (minus Colorado and themselves).
