Game. Cleveland vs. Minnesota

It's sort of sad that the Twins will never win another baseball game. I was a fan of the occasional win, but if I can't have that, I guess watching errors and strikeouts will have to get me by.

I'll be listening to this one, driving to Brainerd on a road trip with the wife. Since this one is obviously impossible, let's at least make it close.

Gomez vs Swizzlestick, who seems to be our best starter lately. Who knows, maybe we'll only lose by three?

  1. I still blame this season on the removal of the trees from Target Field. We're just lucky the Ents haven't started marching yet.

  2. So, this is a pretty spectacular failure. It's about the third time in the last two weeks that the opposition has scored so many runs before I was ready to tune in that I just decided not to.

    1. When the starting pitcher is pulled before I even have Gameday up, I think I can find something else to do for the next couple hours. Maybe plant some trees. Later, folks.

  3. My first year in Babe Ruth our team was 0-14, with two games left. Not only that, my coach was incompetent and kind of a jerk. I also felt like he didn't care. With my father's permission, I called him and told him I was quitting the team.

In our 16th game, I later found out, we won by forfeit to finish the season 1-15. The other team only had seven players show up. They played the game anyway, just for fun. Our team still couldn't win.

      1. Yeah, I kinda feel like hanging out here too, but I have no interest in watching the game right now. 🙂

Maybe we can start a game of werewolf or something.

              1. We should play werewolf if we can get about 8 or so people together. You will like it, I promise. Since you've never played before, I'd volunteer to host the first game. We'd make it vanilla werewolf, with no special roles.

                1. The guy who suggested Auction to me has my complete trust. I'm in...just tell me when, where and how.

I'm considering running a game of Auction here, completely separate from Survivor, since although it's a great game, the nature of it over there is that so many people work together that it kills a bit of the thrill.

                  1. I will make a separate sign up post here. I will explain the rules of the game there. You should email people you might think are interested. If you know people who might want to play, but aren't signed up here, maybe we can move the actual game over to your place.

                    1. The 100 people to date that have played Spookymilk Survivor would probably find this to be right up their alley, and certainly, if you like you can draft the rules as you want them, and we can put it over at Casa de Leche.

          1. You've never played werewolf? How about mafia...it's basically the same game.

In any case, I'd be down with whatever.

  4. Hoey has now gone five consecutive scoreless innings. He's not exactly dominating, but he at least has shown improvement. Not that it could have been much worse.

            1. I considered saying it was the first, but we did eventually match that total.

Then again, strictly speaking, we were in "assume the loss" territory before the game started.
