      1. Pretty much any Thrill Kill Kult album would be awesome. This reminds me that I haven't listened to A Crime for All Season in ages. Off to Spotify.

        1. That's the only one I've got. I bought it on Oct 28, 1995 at the Dinkytown Disc-go-round.
I was in town for a combination college visit (of the U of MN and Augsburg) and Sonic Youth concert (Washing Machine tour, with the Amps opening, my first show at First Ave).

I pull out Confessions... every year on about Oct 28. Looks like Algonad might have me pull it out early.

    3. 'The Ghost of Stephen Foster' - Squirrel Nut Zippers
'Marie Provost' - Nick Lowe (listen to the lyrics, its a pretty grizzly tale set to a catchy tune)
'Ghosts Are Everywhere' - Presidents of the United States of America

    * Probably one of the worst Paul Westerberg songs ever.

    Notes:
    1. Just added. TCO has been quiet for a few years (their live album came out in 2008, I assume Ma Fleur was then 2006 or 2007. But then they recently released two digital singles: this one at 20 minutes and Manhatta at 11 mins. Every Day was probably my favorite album back in 2003, and I really need to rip it to my iTunes. TCO was my last concert before CER was born, at the Women's Club Theatre. EAR came with, too, and she was good until the encore basically doubled the concert length, with each musician taking at least ten minutes for his solo.

    2. I've mentioned it before, but the four singles off the My Love Is Your Love album had some of the best house remixes of pop singles I've come across. Part of the Soundtrack of my senior year of college. If Ms. Houston ever wants to get back to performing, I'll be there to buy the remixes.

    3. "Destination Unknown" is itself a remix: a Dub version of "Chill Out" by Black Uhuru, which could be found on Dubmission Vol. 1 (of 1, not including the remixes). (Kindof like Bowie's 1. Outside, which was part one of a trilogy that never had parts 2 or 3.)

    4. Bought the new Bonnie "Prince" Billy CD: Wolfroy Goes to Town. Just as I figured, he's going further down this same road away from anything resembling pop or hooks. Bummer. I haven't given it a close listen, I hope there's something that grabs me as much as "The Sounds Are Always Begging" off The Wonder Show of the World.

    9. Madison, WI, band that shares its bassist with So So Radio. This is the only song of theirs I could find, but they're supposed to have an EP out soon.

  11. Btw, the kids turned me on to the Jay Z/Kanye West album Watch The Throne. I'm really diggin' it, even though the lyrics have a lot more N***ers, and M***er-F***ers than I am used to and comfortable with.

  12. Stellar Kart -- Sunshine
    Bleach -- Super Good Feeling
Maynard Ferguson -- Superbone Meets the Bad Man
    Audio Adrenaline -- Superfriend
    Manafest -- Supernatural
David Crowder Band -- Surely We Can Change
Relient K -- Surf Wax America
The Beach Boys -- Surfer Girl
The Beach Boys -- Surfin' U.S.A.
    Stryper -- Surrendur
