1. And I'm in a College Football Bowl pick-em' for a second year. One of the card collector bloggers hosted it last year, and I received the prize for last place (thanks, Big 10); we'll see how well I do in it this year (thanks in advance, Big 10)

3. Fire in the fireplace last night: amazing. And yes, I just started another fire 10 minutes ago.

   1. Did you take a picture of it and post it on Twitter?

      1. Not enough Emmy's on my mantle yet. I could put up my trophy from winning my Fantasy Football league last year.

4. its been 8 games since the Vikings defense recorded an interception. ouch

   1. Minnesota still has a professional football team?

            Now if they could find at least 22 NFL players to put in those uniforms...

   2. The secondary just isn't "buying in."

      1. The secondary is single-handedly costing me my money league. This is ridiculous.

   3. This is the first time I can remember that the Vikings were playing and the local stations carried another game instead. I doubt they're getting very many complaints.

      1. I'm not very happy about it.

   4. Had a lunch of cheese, crackers, and beer, turned on the game and promptly fell asleep. That was a fun game to sleep through.

5. The Colts are on the board!!!

   Now don't go on a 3-game winning streak! The Colts have the tiebreaker right now (weakest schedule picks first) over the Rams and Vikings, in case of a tie. Vikings are ahead of the Rams though.

   1. And Donald Brown can go straight to hell. I sat him this week and started Eric Decker instead. Argh!

         1. It wasn't my fault, someone told me the Pats pass D is awful.

6. I just got the banner showing Cuddyer and "The highlight of 2011" Now that he's been traded, that can be taken very badly (like we're glad we're rid of him or something)

   1. Well, I am glad the Twins are not paying him $31.5 million for three years.

   2. The key point is that the highlight is him pitching. Truly a high point of the season.

      1. I kind of figured that was the point that I most wanted to get high during the season.

7. so, uh, kim jong il is supposedly dead.

   1. Yikes.

8. A man was trying to urinate on David Price's car.

   The man apparently didn't take kindly to being interrupted — he pushed Price and took a swing at him, but Price said he wisely avoided confrontation, joking he was too quick.

   "I was," Price said, "relieved with how it turned out."

   I now love David Price.

   1. I follow him on Twitter. He seems cool.

   2. didn't this happen about 2 weeks ago?

      1. Perhaps it's his choice of vehicle?
