Wolves at San Antonio 7:30pm

Who saw this coming?

With the way Adelman ripped Darko! before the game for not keeping himself in shape, I wonder how much you'll see him even w/ Pek out

The Wolves are 2 games back of Houston for the #8 seed, but are 11th in the Western Conference. Because I havent looked at the standing in a while, I was surprised to see the Wolves with a losing record. This year, it seems like they have 45 wins!

  1. I'll be flipping between the end of the Gophers game and the Wolves. Rodney Williams has strapped the Gophs on his back the last couple of weeks, 4 straight 20 point games.

  2. Yeah, these Wolves have been on a bit of a slide since Spanish Jesus Rubio went down.

  3. Ridnour almost airballed a wide-open 3 from the wing, the players aren't coming back on D and have led to two easy buckets, and 3 wolves just knocked a rebound out of bounds with no Spur within 25 feet.

  4. the Wolves trying to blend into the 'key' area by wearing their black uniforms tonight.

    1. The way the Spurs are scoring points in the paint, I'm guessing the Wolves haven't even realized they're there yet.

  5. Barea's half court buzzer beater was closer than most of the Wolves' shots tonight.

  6. did anyone see the giant knot in Rodney Williams calf? OUCH, thats a nasty cramp.

  7. somehow, the Wolves pulled to within 10, with Tolliver, Beasley, and Barea on the court

  8. they're getting plenty of open shots (with the exception of SCB), but they just can't hit em

  9. wow, Gophers hang on and are going to NYC for the NIT finals. I didnt see that coming.

    1. Good for them. I'd rather see a team do that than get blown out in the first round of the big tourney.

  10. Im sure there is a website out there that keeps track of such info, but I wonder what Kevin Love's 3pt% from that 'slot' area of the 3arc.

  11. Zgoda tweets that Rubio got his ACL and his lateral collateral ligament fixed today. Didnt know about the LCL until they went to the surgeon.

I have never heard of the LCL. How many ligaments does the knee have?

    1. Four major ones- ACL and PCL in the middle, LCL on the outside, MCL on the inside. That's not good that he had two ligaments torn, I hadn't heard that until now either.

      1. You can always tell the people who have had reconstructive knee surgery. They know their knee ligaments!

        1. I've learned more about knees in the last couple of months than I did in four years of getting my biology degree in college.

          1. Then you may find it interesting to know that in addition to my ACL repair, I also had a medial meniscus transplant!

            1. Yikes- I had tears in both menisci, but just got a stitch put in each. A transplant couldn't have been much fun.

                1. I had 3 weeks of no weight bearing, which was bad enough- my leg was a twig. I don't know if I could have taken 6 weeks.

                  1. Ugh. I've never had ligament replacement (knocks on The Boy's head) and just scopes to trim meniscii. Transplant sounds ... experimental.

                    1. My leg was noticeably skinny by the time I could start walking again. I normally have huge calves, so it looked kind of pathetic.

There was only one doctor in Minnesota who did the surgery and I think only a few in the country who did it. I was pretty lucky to have found him. 75% of my original meniscus was gone which means I'd basically have to have a knee replacement--well--right about now.

        1. It shouldn't- looks like an LCL surgery takes 2-3 months to recover, while the ACL takes 4-6 months by itself.

  12. Losing Pek has proven to be a huge loss for the local cagers. They have zero inside presence right now.

  13. what a turn of events. missed a few putback attempts, Spurs finally corral the rebounds and outlet for a open dunk. oof

  14. At this point, why not just throw AR, Malcolm Lee and the rest of the bench dudes out there and give the starters a rest? Love doesn't need to be out there for this last quarter.

  15. too bad tim duncan decided to retire before the start of the season. Spurs could have used him tonight.
