  1. Nice thing about Knicks/Heat, particularly in the first round, is that seeing either team lose in a hilarious fashion is enjoyable. Then just hope that the winner repeats the feat in the next round.

        1. Twitter, where rational thought gets thrown out of a moving car, kicked in the face, and thrown off a bridge to die painfully.

          1. honestly, that's why i enjoy twitter. there's no filters, publicists, managers, lawyers, etc.

    1. Do some of these people not realize that twitter is public? How do you tweet stuff like that and not think people are going to notice and be offended by it? Is he just that stupid? Apparently so.

    1. That, and the E. Honda Hundred Hand Slap he did are two of my favorite Pek! moments.

    2. that was fun, but if you watch closely, he definitely slides his pivot foot. Harder to guard somebody who travels.

          1. Yes.

rule number one: refs are not to call traveling or palming when a star does "his move".

  2. I really hope the Clippers/Grizz game makes up for the rest of this garbage I have sat though today.

          1. Yea, I'd have to think that the officials would raise a holy stink if Rondo is not suspended for at least a game. You just cannot touch an official that way. Not cool.

  3. from 1500's Game Recap

10: Pickoff attempts by Chen in the first inning with Span on first base. "With most lefties, sometimes you (run) on first move," Span said. "But with him I know not to go first move. There's been times when he's picked me off when he'll throw over three times, and I'll be like, 'There's no way he's throwing over four times.' You see what he did today. He doesn't care about the crowd booing or anything like that."

    1. And after the tenth pickoff attempt, Span was thinking "no way he's throwing over eleven times."
Probably a good think that Carlos Gomez wasn't around today.

This is one of my favorite times to boo, because I don't really feel like it's booing.
Everything else feels so judgemental for an uppermidwesterner like myself, but this is just "You're slowing down the game! Stop trying to get the home team's baserunners out." Also, from what I've heard of Bruce Chen, he may have just decided that they're cheering him on. "Bruuuuuce!"

      Thanks for sharing, dw!

    1. Sometimes when you turn a game on you aren't sure if you are going to just watch as a fan or if you are going to have a rooting interest. It took me about 4 seconds to realize that I am rooting to the Grizz to go deep into the playoffs. I can't stand this Clippers team.

On an unrelated note, I love listening to C-Webb do pxp.

      1. This is so great. I might enjoy this even more than a close game.

    1. Twins would have had higher waiver priority, so this implies that they chose to let him pass.

      1. I don't think Inge was passed through waivers; he was straight-up released. He could sign with whomever he wanted to. The As have a big enough black hole at third that he should get plenty of chances.
