(yeah, this isn't safe for work)

Oh, mama. Frankie was pretty awesome today. He went 6 surrendering three hits and two walks while striking out nine. He gave up zero runs, none of which were earned. Awesome. Burnett and Gray finished off the remaining three innings allowing only one more base runner.

The big pussy didn't get a single hit today. Boooooooooooooooooooooo to the 3 walks and 2 runs he got today. The local nine didn't need him anyway. Thank goodness Willinghammer was there to Thrillingham us (again(!)).

Yeah, today was a good day.

Culture club: LA is a weird place, and I've had a weird trip. Tomorrow, I've got an appointment to meet up with printer I totally respect: Richard Nielsen. Richard founded Untitled Prints and Editions in Los Angeles' Chinatown as a multidiscipline printmaking publisher and contract printshop. He's printed a bunch of great art over the years, and offers a print membership program that offers members 2 free impressions a year. Check out the prints Richard helped Gregor Mobius create based on his work on visual DNA.

  1. Not only is this a top five all time song, it even has one of the greatest edited versions of all time.

And my jimmy runs deep... so deep... so deep put her butt to sleep.

    1. The edited version of Wu-Tang Clan's 36 Chambers is actually better than the profane version. A high-school friend and I had different opinions of the album, and it turns out it was because we were listening to different versions. Swearing is replaced with kung-fu movie sound effects like clanging swords and punches, which gives the whole thing an extra, off-kilter percussion. "Wu-Tang Clan ain't nothing to OOF! with" has the cuss reversed. And the vocals were re-recorded for "Shame on a Nuh" where ODB replaces two syllables with a heavy grunt "Nuh!", creating very interesting syncopation as the listener expects two syllables.

They did cut three whole songs from the edited version though.

        1. Those three tracks are "Bring Da Ruckus", "7th Chamber", and "7th Chamber Part 2" (Also, the remix of "Method Man" was not included.)
As someone who's always hope rappers could trim the filler from their albums, what's left is a tight 9-track, 36-minute album.

I just looked at running times, and the profane version must have some skits at the beginning or ending of tracks, because 90 seconds were cut from "Clan in Da Front", 150 seconds from "All So Simple", and 100 seconds from "Method Man". If you're a fan of the profane version, you should try to find the edited version at a used CD shop or just online.

          1. Yeah, those songs have tacked on skits. That's probably my least favorite thing about it.

I think I will try to hunt a copy down, it'd be nice to have in case I ever get a radio show again!

  2. He gave up zero runs, none of which were earned.

Don't know why, but that was the best line of the recap IMO

    1. I laughed at that line. The funniest thing about it (to me) is how it looks completely natural, yet means nothing.
