  1. one of my favorite tracks off the fantastic Muswell Hillbillies release. Ray Davies wrote dozens of songs about lonely people and their escapes from reality or crappy situations, and this is one of the best examples.

    This artist captures that spirit in this recording.

    1. Conveniently enough, James Walbourne was born in the North London community of Muswell Hill, so he knows from whence Mr Davies speaks. Hell, he knows Mr Davies.
