  1. Sorry FSN productions guys, but DSPAN and McCutcheon are not quite equals as centerfielders.

    1. Let me guess, compared their batting averages? That's about the only thing where they're similar.

        1. actually, I'm not sure where DPWY was going with this one.

Year Dude OPS rWAR Dude OPS rWAR
          2009 McCutcheon 121 2.2 Span 115 3.7
          2010 McCutcheon 121 3.6 Span 88 1.5
          2011 McCutcheon 128 5.3 Span 91 2.3
          2012 McCutcheon 162 2.3 Span 109 2.3
          1. 9.8 rWAR for Span versus 13.4 rWAR for McCutchen over those four years. They have similar batting averages and McCutchen has a slight edge in OBP, but McCutchen also has considerably more power.

    2. "Equal as centerfielders?" I didn't hear it, so did they mean defensively?

  2. Sanctimonious Dick and Bert who like to tear down Bonds at every opportunity are giggling about Peralta's pine tar incident and Bert basically admits to having doctored balls.

  3. Somehow my plane (rather, the plane on which I paid a hefty sum to ride) is giving me free temporary internet access. I'm a little uncomfortable with this, but intend to make good use.

        1. When Liz dates Wesley Snipes (Michael Sheen), then Carol Burnett (Matt Damon) is one of my favorite arcs of all of "30 Rock".

          "So are you a doorman?"
          "Yeah, I'm a doorman...TO THE SKY!"

          1. I have always liked 30 Rock, but catching it in syndication, has turned that like to love. I just love the balls to the wall joke machine they built and its awesome that the show can get big time actors like Damon, Sheen, Julianne Moore, etc to step right in and commit to the madness.

  4. Good grief, Morneau has no luck against lefties. It seems like he's been crushing the ball a lot against them with no luck. Two line drives to McCutcheon today.

  5. Not an account of any literal, potential or virtual such ball game, but it seems like we/they/some escaped a potentially dangerous inning there, but don't quote me on that.

        1. I don't believe it. I can never forgive you for this.

Awww...who am I kidding? I can't stay mad at you.

  6. How often is it that you see somebody make a great play in the field and they're due up 9th the next inning?

  7. Any time you move your hand up the bat and then put the bat over the plate, that should be a strike.
