2012 Game 88: A’s at Twins

The Twins and their #30 run differential take on the A's again today. Jarrod Parker, whom I haven't heard of but doesn't seem to suck at all, faces Brian Duensing, whom I have heard of and is serviceable.

Span isn't playing for some reason. Feel free to worry about why that might be.

  1. Duensing is a reliever. Hopefully this start solidifies this fact for the Twins. He hasn't had an even passable start that I can remember this year.

It's a Phelps Mill kind of day today, I think. My mom will probably appreciate the help tearing down her booth.

  2. TK says that Paul Molitor is/has going/gone to Beloit to help Sano with his defense.

      1. No problem. I'll set up a spam bot to post "nothing has happened, everyone's mad. Click here to enlarge your penis." every 15 minutes or so.

              1. That was supposed to nest under Canis not the erection link. Whoops.

                1. Speaking of erections, to answer your question yesterday about them Knicks: lol comes to mind.

    1. I have read some articles about the situation, but Im still confused. KAHHHHHN!

        1. Just realized this is game 88 for the Twins. That has to be a good sign for Batum, right?

            1. I tried to make a Batum 88 onsie for the calf on nba.com but it was not allowed.

      1. (also, my wife made the actual invitation herself. Thought she did a real nice job on em.)

        1. that's the first thing i noticed (well, the 2nd thing ;)). i've seen she's been on a big DIY kick lately. jane was very impressed.

  3. Checking in from Wrigley. Garza pitching for the Cubs, 70 pitches in 4 innings, but his slider is killer. No Dude in the lineup.

  4. I'm getting really sick of hearing the A's announcer say "that baby is gone".

  5. my theory on the increase of home runs at Target Field since the first year: the pitchers has been progressively worse.

  6. Sounds like Casey Fien pitched well, but that's about the only positive I can come up with. Sometimes you just have to try and turn the page. We'll just have to settle for 110-52!

    1. I'm starting to get worried about this feature: we're just at the point where teams have had the record you're resigning us to, but there's still 2 1/2 months left!

      1. I, for one, am excited to see how Jeff can swing settling for 80-82 into a positive.
