GO TWINS!
That's a strong Twins lineup, from top to
bottom6.Laddie at 3rd sells it for sure
Morning game! Cool!
Only one of the season in fact!
Anybody watching? Did Span swing?
Batter swings and then the ball hits him, he is out no? So it doesn't matter where the ball rolls.
I believe this is correct. The ball is dead when it hits him. If it hadn't been the third strike, of course, he would not have been out, it would just have been a strike.
MLB Rule Book
.
Swinging and missing, then subsequently being hit by the ball is a strike.
I'm getting concerned that the Indians won't make enough errors to make up for all the runs Duensing gives up.
looks like we have to play the comeback game again today
The Indians do seem to generally make that easier than other teams, at least.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I don't think Duensing is a good pitcher.
I'd amend that to "starting" pitcher, but yeah, I understand the sentiment.
I just heard an ad for a Labor Day sale. Man, this summer is going by fast.
At least it's less than 30 days away.

We drop the Boy off the day after.
I think the audio in that clip is messed up. Here's a working clip:

3 games 3 errors at that rate.......
... Gardy will have a nervous breakdown in 10 games?
I might be wrong, but this Nishi experiment is not looking any better the second time around.
I'm OK with cutting Nishioka. Yesterday. Sheesh.
Yeah, but he's here to play...at something.
No!!!! Cut him Monday!!! Let my HPR see his hero on Sunday!!!
HPR having Nishioka as his hero seems somewhat like Charlie Brown having Joe Shlabotnik as his hero.
All HPR knows is
1) MN Twin
2) Japanese
It could be Ichiro! or Kaz Matsui or Daisuke Matsuzaka.
Or any Chinese player, for that matter. HPR doesn't have a good distinction between the two. Lego Ninjago isn't helping.
"pectorial" - drink up!
Nice
at batplate appearance by The Dozer. The secret to a quick, scoreless inning, don't let them hit the ball at Nishi.
Hmm, I wonder if opposing teams know where the Twins would rather they not hit it?
Lets go Donut.
Not quite what I had in mind...
LADDIEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was unexpected.
Laddie!!!??!!
Who had 08/08 in the Laddie home run pool?
Oh yeah, now they're ready to play.
On the positive side, Masterson's pitch count is already at 102.
D.F.A.
I don't think I've ever seen someone give up on a pop fly quite like that.
What was the play? - I'm only catching the play-by-play online.
he basically gave up on the ball, as if it had vanished into thin air. He turned his back to the infield and was walking away. The ball landed and someone else had to go chase it down. Absolutely a joke.
Geez...I wish I hadn't asked. I know it's water under the bridge at this point, but how in the world could the Twins scouting staff have been so convinced that this guy was ready for MLB?
YouTube
Oh, Nishi!
It's Escobar time.
Can you be DFA'd in the middle of a game?
I dunno but I'd be OK with making history.
Seriously, what is it that Nishioka is supposed to be good at? What is it that he's supposed to be even average at? Even Drew Butera is (allegedly) a good defensive player. It's nothing personal--as far as I know, Nishioka's a good enough guy and I'm sure he's trying--but other than his salary, what is it about him that justifies his presence on a major league roster?
finding good sushi restaurants and ordering for the team??
i might have mentioned this here before, but i had a buddy that was a sushi chef in minneapolis. whenever the mariners in town, ichiro would come by after the game (and after it the place was closed as well) and my buddy would be his personal sushi chef. nice gig.
mmmm, sushi.

the key to a good comeback is to NOT LET THE GAME GET AWAY FROM YOU
So if Casilla jacked a donger does that mean we can't blame him for Nishi sucking anymore?
Uh, all the blame there goes to the FO.
*while their backs are turned, swaps Shin-Soo Choo and Nishioka*
they all look the same, right?
Now they have to comeback if Revere is going to extend the hit streak.
Shucks, I was hoping Revere could stretch it to at least 24 games, if only so that the next time a Twin had a long streak, I wouldn't have to hear "Player X's hitting streak is the longest since Torii Hunter's 23 game streak."
Not that I have a whole lot of lasting ire for him, I just think it's time for the media to let some of the old heroes fade a bit, and for some reason, ii's spectre still looms everywhere.
Wait, day game? ALMOST OVER?! WHYYYYYYYYYY???
At least I'm not missing anything good, besides the elusive Laddie donger.
Last chance, Nishi.
When I heard Frank Viola's kid was in the diving part of the Olympics I switched to all 5 Olympics channels and looked.
I don't know why I bother. NBC sucks.
She's STILL diving? I remember when she was here in St. Charles several years back for the diving trials.
We still won the series, and I can't imagine it will be too much longer before the Indians are safely in 4th place.
Hey, Dozier is nearly as bad as Nishioka. No doubt. Pffft.
As I said the other day, all you really need to know about Nishioka is that he couldn't beat out Brian Dozier.
Hey Tom Powers, Dozier is terrible.
The Calf is now 0-1 at Twins games. Blame him..... or Nishi.
that's a tough call. I mean, both crapped their pants, right?
Morning games really shouldn't count. Who can do anything athletic in the morning? Oh, well, I guess we'll just have to settle for 100-62!
Padre, I just realized that your "attainable record" has now dropped to the point of a 'homer' preseason prediction.
What do you mean? My prediction was 162-0!
Homer...with a capital "H", eh?
