    1. He's listed as Daniel on milb.com. The Miracle actually has three Daniels--Rams, Santana, and Ortiz. No word on whether they can get Elton John to make an appearance in Fort Myers this year.

      1. Baseball Reference has Danny -- who do YOU trust? 😉

Every baseball card I've seen he's "Danny". If you google "Daniel" images, all you get are guys with horns painted on their yellow and blue helmets.

      2. Hey, If Elton John's not going to play before a Livan Hernandez game, I doubt he'll play for three Daniels.
Now, maybe Bat for Lashes would play...

    1. I love that MLB moved up the signing deadline. In previous years, Buxton wouldn't have played at all this season. Now, he's got 28 games under his belt and he's already at Elizabethton. Could he go to Beloit next spring? That would be cool.

      1. Yeah, that'll be a positive for the draftees in the long run, probably balances out the lack of leverage.

      2. If Buxton ends up at Beloit next year, I promise I will go and provide my expert opinion on his game.

      3. From LEN3's blog:

Outfielder Byron Buxton, the second overall pick of the June draft, and righthander Jose Berrios, the 32nd overall pick, already have been promoted from the GCL Twins to Elizabethton of the Appalachian League. Rantz said on Thursday that both of them now have a chance to open the 2013 season at Class A Beloit

Berrios has probably been better than Buxton to this point, although most of Buxton's "struggles" have been a low BABIP.
