Lord, I love that vibraphone.

I've been a pretty big fan of P.O.S. and various other bits of the Doomtree collective for a few years now. A friend of mine and I used to try to hit the Blowout that they'd have every December, and a good time was generally had by all. The non-P.O.S./Dessa division is incredibly hit or miss (mostly miss), but just about everything works during a Dessa live show. The stripped back songs and strings and vibraphone really help showcase her voice. Castor, The Twin was an entire CD full of this sort of thing, and for the most part it worked, but it's about 700 times better live.
