  1. Hah. Doumit caught the ball so far away from home plate, he didn't think he had a chance until he saw Cabrera so far away. I'll give him points for diving to attempt to get Cabrera out.

    1. addition almost entirely by subtraction? Cole Nelson looks like a never-gonna-be. Lester Oliveros might be a bullpen something next year. One can hope, anyway.

    1. I better turn on the radio, then.

It was 2-0 Tigers when I logged on last night. It was 5-0 by the time I got Gameday pulled up, so I shut it back off.

  2. Jim LaRussa.

the worst thing about September baseball is that everyone has 75 pitchers in the bullpen

  3. Nice catch, but maybe bad choice to catch the ball. I doubt it will end up mattering in the game though.

  4. Dick Bremer suggests that there is an elevated awareness in batting average titles amongst Twins fans going all the way back.

me: Yeah, its because for the most part, the teams has been average to terrible and having a hit king is the only thing to cling onto in September.

    1. Of course, the Twins have to have a player within striking distance of the batting title for the fans to care, and for the most part, that's been the case for Twins teams going way back.

  5. Bud Selig and Gary Bettmann rolled into one person is better than the replacement refs the NFL hired.

        1. I have the feeling that Harbaugh will keep throwing that challenge flag until someone takes it away from him.

    1. Selig picks fight with Don Fehr-led union: Dumb
Bettman picks fight with Don Fehr-led union after he's defeated Selig: Dumber.

So you're saying Replacement Refs are basically "Dumb & Dumber 3: Dumber and Dumberest"?
