BRISBANE 5, SYDNEY 2 IN SYDNEY

TwinsLogan Wade (Brisbane) was 1-for-3 with a walk and scored once.  JaDamion Williams (Sydney) was 0-for-3 and was hit by a pitch.  Jacob Younis (Sydney) was 2-for-4 with an RBI.  Tyler Herr (Sydney) pitched 2.1 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out one.

Game summary:  Brisbane took the lead with three in the first and went up 5-1 with a two-run fourth.

Brisbane:  Chris Smith struck out nine in six innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on five hits and no walks.  Cody Clark was 2-for-5 with two doubles, scoring once and driving in one.

Sydney:  Trent D’Antonio (Miami) was 2-for-4 with a run.  Luke Wilkins worked 2.1 scoreless innings, allowing a hit and a walk.

MELBOURNE 7, ADELAIDE 2 IN MELBOURNE

TwinsSam Gibbons (Melbourne) allowed one run on two hits in three innings, striking out one.

Game summary:  Two home runs gave Melbourne three runs and a 4-1 read after four.  Melbourne scored three more in the fifth to break the game open.

Adelaide:  Stefan Welch (Pittsburgh) was 2-for-4 with two doubles.  Angus Roeger hit a home run.

Melbourne:  Kevin Reese struck out three in three shutout innings, giving up two hits and two walks.  Brad Harman was 2-for-4 with two home runs.
