2012-13 Game Logs: Game 13 Wolves @ Kings

Tonight is the latest installment in our ongoing series where I use trade machine to try and trade Derek Williams to the team the Wolves are playing that night. My goal is for Derek Williams to become aware of this and use it as motivation. That or David Kahn becomes aware of these posts and tries to make these trades.

I don't want anyone for Sacramento on the Wolves. Ugh. I don't want to trade them their trash for our trash, Evans for Williams; I like Chuck Hayes plenty but not at 11 million and 2 years after this season. Hayes is above average player but I'd rather have Dante. That leaves the following trade:

Williams

for

Honeycutt and Bo Outlaw.

Le sigh.

The Wolves get Tyler Honeycutt who has just been assigned to the D-League and in exchange for the upgrade over Williams they have to take on the player that the amnesty clause could have been named after in Travis Outlaw. In case you were wondering, Outlaw has an even lower PER than Williams.

I wonder if our pal Derek could get sent to the D-League. At least this way he might get some minutes.

The Wolves should be able to win tonight, the game is a pick 'em. Also, if the Wolves don't win, wattsy, you are on gamelogs until the Wolves lose again. Deal?

    deal

            1. I'm glad you did- I wasn't smart enough to find it from the clues you left. It's working better than sitting in the front does for me.

  2. this might be the longest stretch Cousins has played without a foul against the Wolves in his career.

    1. I had a recent birth celebration that wound up with me having a magnum of this. I will enjoy it with some saltines.

        1. I have a couple of them now. If there is a seasonal beer I enjoy more I have not found it yet.

    2. I 'enjoyed' two PBRs tonight. Dollar special at the Bon Tomps. I then proceeded to roast calabasas, sweet potato, onion, garlic, and poblanos as burrito filling along with some pintos + bacon. Today was a good day. Oh, and the satsuma infused vodka helped.

  3. to me, that was impressive defense by Pek. was out past the elbow, kept up with the driving guard, and then blocked the shot

then got an easy bucket on the other end.

  4. bS, what is the overall feeling in your town about Evans? Is he good as gone next season?

    1. Up in the air. His game has not progressed. He needs to show he can shoot from 18-20 free consistently, and he's got to become a compelling defender.

If Geoff Petrie leaves, they might just blow things up and start over. This is not a playoff team. Not enough talent and too many guys who play the same position.

      1. I have watched more of this team that a lot of other left coast teams. They have some compelling pieces but they seem too eager to shoot as soon as they touch the ball. Their ball movement has improved as the season has progressed though.

  5. Brad Miller looks like he does not want to do this interview

with the ballcap on, he looks like my friend, but 2 feet taller

  6. Ever played a pick-up game of basketball where your team kept trying to get the ball to the worst player so he could maybe score some points?

That's what Malcolm Lee playing on offense reminds me of.

  7. Looks like we already have more interest in tonight's game that the last game against GSW.

  8. whats up with the locomotive horn blowing after a made basket? is this game being played at Purdue?

    1. And no, I don't know why Deron Williams is doing commercials during Kings games.

  9. Let me ask, what do people with children think is an acceptable temperature for the thermostat in winter?

    1. We set ours at 68, which I think is too damn warm. But, the trinket is comfortable, so my cheapness takes a back seat.

      1. I haven't taught the Calf the words warm or cold yet. Mrs. Buffalo on the other hand, she sure knows the word freezing.

        1. To be fair, thermostat is downstairs. It's a few degrees warmer upstairs. But I have not yet turned the heat on.

    2. Mine is set at 65. I'm cheaper than cheaptoy. Kids haven't complained about it, ever. Wife complains, quite often.

      1. Mine will, hopefully, go back to 62 when there are no babies in the house. I likes me some cold and savings.

        1. I am at 62 currently and I haven't heard the end of it. When I was a single man the heat never went above 60.

  10. I refuse to believe Kevin Love would miss a shot that badly without getting fouled.

        1. I am ashamed to say I own The Dance album, but I havent listened to it in over 10 years. I guess I didnt have enough heart to give it away

          1. in danger of losing what little credibility i have, the dance isn't half bad. better than tango in the night, at least. i'll admit that fleetwood mac/lindsey buckingham completely changed my approach to guitar. once i got into rumours, i never used a pick again.

    1. On the replay, it looked like a much better shot than I thought it was in real time. Still can't believe it went in, but Love had a completely open look at it and got a lucky roll.

  11. Kevin Love at 23-24
only the 8th time in franchise history that mark has been reached
Love had 3 of those type games in 2010
