Game summary: Adelaide led 2-0, Sydney led 4-2, Adelaide led 5-4, they were tied at five and six, then Adelaide scored two in the fifth to take a lead they would never relinquish.

Adelaide: Ji-Man Choi (Seattle) was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, a triple, and a walk, scoring twice. Nathan Melendres was 3-for-5 with a triple, scoring twice and driving in two.

Sydney: Trent D’Antonio (Miami) was 2-for-3 with a three-run homer and two walks. Mitch Dening (Boston) was 2-for-3 with a homer and two walks, scoring twice.

BRISBANE 5, MELBOURNE 1 IN BRISBANE

Game summary: Brisbane took a 2-0 lead in the fifth. Melbourne scored in the seventh, but Brisbane got three in the bottom of the seventh.
