Minor Details: Games of 4/4

Good starts for Oswaldo Arcia and Byron Buxton.  No pitching for Rochester.  Sorry, Snappy, but you're on the other side now.

BUFFALO 12, ROCHESTER 7 IN BUFFALO

Batting stars: Chris Colabello was 3-for-4 with a home run and scored twice. Ray Olmedo was 3-for-4 and scored once. Oswaldo Arcia was 2-for-4 with a double and a home run, driving in three.

Pitching stars: None.

Opposition stars: Anthony Gose was 3-for-4 with a double, scoring three times and driving in one. Jim Negrych was 3-for-5, scoring once and driving in one. Luis Jimenez was 2-for-4 with a home run, scoring twice and driving in three.

Key inning: The sixth. Trailing 7-1, the Red Wings scored four times to get back into the game. A two-run homer by Arcia and a two-run double by Mark Sobolewski drove the runs home. In the bottom of the inning, however, Buffalo got two of the runs back on a two-run single by Andy LaRoche and Rochester did not threaten their lead again.

NEW BRITAIN AT RICHMOND

Suspended game. The score is 0-0 in the bottom of the fourth. Danny Santana is 2-for-2. Logan Darnell pitched 3.2 scoreless innings, giving up four hits and two walks. It appears that the game will be completed this evening prior to the regularly scheduled game.

FORT MYERS 4, BRADENTON 3 IN FORT MYERS

Batting stars: Jonathan Goncalves was 3-for-4 with a double, scoring twice and driving in one. Stephen Wickens was 2-for-4.

Pitching stars: Ryan O'Rourke struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up one hit and no walks. Chad Rogers struck out all three batters he faced. Zach Jones struck out one in a perfect inning.

Opposition stars: Jacob Stallings was 3-for-3 with a double and a home run. Taylor Lewis was 2-for-4 with a double and a home run, scoring twice. Eliecer Navarro allowed one run on four hits in three innings, striking out four.

Key inning: The sixth. Trailing 3-2, the Marauders tied the score when Lewis led off with a double, went to third on a fly out, and scored on a wild pitch. Fort Myers took the lead back for good in the bottom of the inning when Goncalves doubled, took third on a wild pitch, and scored on a throwing error.

CEDAR RAPIDS 9, BELOIT 7 IN CEDAR RAPIDS

Batting stars: Jorge Polanco was 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs. Jairo Rodriguez was 2-for-4 with a double and scored twice. Byron Buxton was 2-for-5, scoring twice and driving in two.

Pitching star: Tyler Jones struck out six in 3.1 scoreless innings, giving up no hits and two walks. Taylor Rogers allowed no earned runs in 3.2 innings while striking out seven. On the other hand, he gave up six hits and a walk and allowed four unearned runs.

Opposition stars: Christopher Bostick and John Wooten each were 2-for-5 with a run and an RBI. Ryan Dull struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up one hit and no walks.

Key inning: The fourth. Beloit had scored four in the third to tie the game. The Kernels came back with three in the fourth inning. The runs scored on an error, a Polanco single, and a ground out. A two-run fifth then put the game away.
