2013 Game 25: Twins at Indians

Pedro Hernandez
v
Justin Masterson

The Twins predicted well and this game starts two and a half hours before the Wild game. Plenty of time to determine if Hernandez is able to continue bolstering his Cy Young season before the important game starts.

  1. Mike Aviles is with Cleveland? ugh, one of my least favorite opponents (Peter Borjus, Billy Butler to name a couple others)

    1. I've always kind of liked Aviles, but I completely understand why he's a least favorite opponent.

  2. Dozier should just keep stealing until someone can cleanly field/hold the ball.

      1. I've been able to see very few games this year, so I was going strictly off stats. Does your comment mean:

A - They were bad baserunners who were relatively easy pickings
B - Mauer and the pitchers have done such a great job that runners don't get a good jump
        C - A and B
        D - Something else

        1. I think a little bit of B and D. The throws have seemed accurate and strong. The pitchers may be helping some as well, but it's hard to tell from the broadcast.

          1. someone (Doogie or Mackey) made a note that the pitchers the Twins signed in the offseason are very fast to home when runners are on. I wish I could remember when I saw that article.

        2. Back in college, wIth math exam questions, if I had no clue, I would pick either 1, 0, -1, or infinity.

  3. Tribe's music guy playing 'Helter Skelter' over the loudspeaker for this pitching change.

    1. Weathering the storm. Outshot 17-7 in the first.

Same old story in the playoffs, it gets a lot harder to score. They're going to need three or more in this one to win, I think.

  4. So we get a point for losing in overtime, right? No? Well, then, we'll just have to settle for 149-13!
