Somehow, I'm doing worse than nibbish, WTF, which I find very disheartening.

        1. Given that my list came from a random list generator, I'm pleased that I'm ahead of anybody.

  1. Wild Playoff Watch:

    Wild, Stars, Kings win.
    Canucks, Jets, and Coyotes lose.

Chicago and Colorado clinch playoff berths and Calgary is on the brink of elimination.

    6. LA -- 94 pts
    7. MIN -- 87 pts (Magic Numbers - 3 v. WIN/NSH, 5 v. VAN, 12 v. PHX, 13 v. DAL)
    8. PHX -- 84 pts
    ----------------
    9. DAL -- 83 pts
    10. VAN -- 79 pts
    11. WIN -- 75 pts
    12. NSH -- 75 pts
    13. CGY -- 69 pts (out with a loss of any kind today)

    TODAY: Nothing too critical

Nashville/Washington and Ottawa/Calgary - two games for teams that are probably all but mathematically out.

  2. I wonder how late I can show up to the draft tonight without missing my first pick? 30 minutes? 45?

  3. Man, it was nice to dig the bicycle out of storage ride ride around today.
Although I have a feeling my hamstrings are going to be sore tomorrow. Totally worth it.

    1. Minor project - all of the books down from 3rd floor, through the vetting process, stay or go.

To GoodWill for the tax benefits. Also CD's, DVDS, shoes/sandals/boots/jackets. Considerable tax savings, but more importantly got rid of the clutter.

  4. a couple of days late on this, but apparently losing to South Dakota State has consequences.

Losses to NoDak schools are more expected, I guess.

But in the best Goofer tradition, she's getting a buy-out.

Again after a few poor years, as the Gophers have not been to the NCAA Tournament since 2009, Borton was rewarded with what many Gopher fans saw as a questionable two-year contract extension in 2012 right before Maturi left the AD position. That extension extended her contract through the 2015-16 season and will result in Borton receiving a $335,000 buyout of her contract.

    1. Pretty much every extension Maturi handed out was questionable.

But, seriously (as if that first sentence wasn't serious), SDSU's women's program is pretty damned good.

    2. The good news is that Carly Wagner is still coming to the U next year. Her and Rachel Banham and Amanda Zahui B should make the team watchable.

I didnt know this until reading about the firing, but this years women's team only had 10 players.
