Spring has sprung.

Hilly half-marathon in Middletown, CT today - temps were perfect.A little wind to start with, but the sun came out and I quickly realized that I was overdressed with my long-sleeve shirt and jacket and gloves.  My gloves were off after 1/4 mile into it.

A runner rule of thumb is to dress for 20 degrees warmer than the current temperature - it was 44 at race start, and then quickly warmed up from there.  I guess I'm too used to cold weather running.

Hilly run through & around the campus of Wesleyan University (one of the 'Little Ivies').   I didn't have a training plan for this one, and it showed - I hit Brennschluss at mile 12.

I saw a sign in a dorm room window that said 'Beef River' - not sure what that means - any guesses?
