Game 82. Utah @ Wolves. 7:00 pm

Since the Twins game has been weathered out lets talk about the local cagers one last time. They are 40-41 on the year, which is the 8th highest win total in the 25 years of existence.

Think about that.

Why do we choose to follow this team?

Couple of milestones in store tonight: Kevin Love could become the first Timberwolves player to eclipse the 2000 point barrier
Ricky Rubio need 3 assists to reach 700

  1. The Wolves really need to win this one to finally end the streak of eight consecutive losing seasons. The Wolves went to the playoffs eight consecutive years (including twice when they didn't have a winning record) and since then, this is now the 10th consecutive year of missing the playoffs.

    1. This is a game the I fully expect them to win, but also fully expect them to lose.

  2. It would be so Wolves-y to get blown out at home to one of the league's worst teams with a chance to finish with a non-losing record.

  3. This is the part of the game where Mark Madsen comes out of retirement and starts hoisting 3's

  4. Huh, I fully expected the near-20 point deficit to keep getting worse when the second-string was in, but evidently Utah's second-string is even worse than Minny's.

  5. Welp, I think I have had enough of this game for a bit. This Montreal -Tampa hockey game is a barn burner. CNBC has the CBC feed too!

  6. This Gobert guy for Utah is TALL.
He automatically becomes a Top 10 favorite non-Wolves NBA player.

  7. Love crossed the 2,000-point threshold for the first time in his career with a pair of free throws late in the second quarter. He became the first player in NBA history with at least 2,000 points, 900 rebounds and 100 3-pointers in one season.
