Minor Details: Games of April 20

A brilliant outing for Trevor May, as we start the long trek toward getting caught up.

ROCHESTER 9, SYRACUSE 3 IN ROCHESTER

Batting stars:  Doug Bernier was 3-for-4 with two doubles and a walk, scoring twice.  Chris Parmelee was 4-for-5 with two runs and an RBI.  Danny Santana was 2-for-6 with a double, scoring once and driving in two.

Pitching star:  Trevor May pitched six shutout innings, giving up one hit and one walk with four strikeouts.

Opposition stars:  Brian Goodwin was 2-for-2 with a double and two walks, scoring once.  Manny Delcarmen struck out two in 1.1 scoreless innings, allowing one hit.

The game:  Santana had a two-run double in a four-run second that put Rochester in control early.  James Beresford singled in a run in the fourth to make it 5-0 and Chris Rahl hit a three-run homer in the seventh to make it 8-0.  Syracuse did not get back into the game.

Of note:  Dan Rohlfing was 1-for-4 with a walk.
