Minor Details: Games of April 30

A big night for Max Kepler.  Another good outing for Brett Lee.  Two rainouts lead to two doubleheaders.

FORT MYERS 6, BRADENTON 2 IN FORT MYERS

Batting stars:  Max Kepler was 2-for-2 with a triple and two walks, scoring twice and driving in two.  Levi Michael was 2-for-5 with a triple and two RBIs.  Niko Goodrum was 2-for-4 with two runs.

Pitching stars:  Brett Lee pitched seven innings, giving up two runs on nine hits and a walk with five strikeouts.  Brian Gilbert struck out five in two shutout innings, giving up one hit.

Opposition stars:  Adam Frazier was 3-for-4 with a run.  Max Moroff was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

The game:  Four walks produced a Fort Myers run in the first inning.  In the second, Kepler walked, stole second, went to third on a passed ball, and scored on a balk to make it 2-0.  Bradenton cut the lead to 2-1 in the fourth, but the Miracle took control in the sixth with a three-run inning.  Kepler tripled in two and scored on a Michael single.  The Marauders did not get back into the game after that.

Of note:  Jorge Polanco was 0-for-5.  Dalton Hicks was 1-for-2 with two walks.  Travis Harrison was 0-for-3 with two walks and a run.  Adam Brett Walker II was 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.
