    1. I thought it was an Injun?

hmm. No, I think you are right about Oriole. Guthrie was with the Injuns in 04-06, but as a reliever. He was with the O's for 07-11.

for his career, he's 8-3 with a 2.94 ERA against the Twins. 70-96 with an ERA around 4.00 against everyone else.

      1. Affeldt has 6 career starts (in 24 appearances) against the Twins. He was with the Royals 2002-06, as a spot starter. For his career, 5-1 with a 1.06 ERA in 50 1/3 innings against the Twins. Yea, pretty much a Twins killer.

      2. It wasn't Bonderman?
Sowers of Cleveland? Vs Twins: 2-2, 2.85 ERA vs Twins in seven starts with one of his two career CGs -- consecutive shutouts, the next game was a shutout against Seattle. Career: 18-30, 5.18
But I thought the first real Jeremy was someone who wasn't actually named Jeremy, but someone for whom "Jeremy" worked and half of us didn't know wasn't "Jeremy":
        Jason Johnson?

          1. Yeah. Jeremy Affeldt is the Original Jeremy. The "Jeremy" label has since then been applied to numerous other unremarkable pitchers that shut down the Twins. If one of Andrew Albers' first two starts were against the Twins, he would have been a Jeremy.

  1. Enjoying Ommegang's Hennepin with left-over chicken soup despite the Royal pain in inning 2.
