Extra off days, games really mattering, and a really good bullpen equals a quick hook. It's the only time of the year that managers properly manage starters.

Jeremy Affeldt came up with the Royals in 2002. Raul Ibanez was on that team. Ibanez was 30 years old.

Crazy that a team with Hunter Pence, Tim Lincecum, and Sablo Pandaval are the bad guys.
But now they can be the team with Strickland, so it isn't as crazy.

I'm biased as I've been a fan of the Giants since Dad took me to the final regular season game played in Candlestick, but I still don't think of them as the Bad Guys...I just like to root for underdogs.
I'll admit I may have oversimplified...
If the Davis gets through this without allowing a run, I think Yost should let Finnegan pitch the 9th.
I mean, it's not a save sitch. Plus: CWS to WS!!!
