Oriente loses a lead but wins anyway.  A big inning carries Este.

ORIENTE 9, CIBAO 7 IN CIBAO

Twins:  Jeremias Pineda was 0-for-3 for Cibao.

Oriente:  Alberto Rosario (Dodgers) was 3-for-3 with a double and a walk, scoring three times and driving in one.  Austin Wates (Miami) was 3-for-5 with a two-run homer.  Radhames Liz (Toronto) struck out six in five shutout innings, giving up five hits and no walks.

Cibao:  Moises Sierra (White Sox) was 2-for-5 with a double, scoring twice and driving in two.  Xavier Scruggs (St. Louis) was 3-for-4 with a walk and a run.

The game:  A four-run Cibao seventh cut a 6-1 Oriente lead to 6-5.  A single, two doubles, and another single produced three runs for Oriente in the eighth to put the game out of reach.

ESTE 6, ESCOGIDO 2 IN ESTE

Escogido:  Wilkin Castillo was 3-for-4 with a triple, scoring once and driving in one.  Corey Brown (Boston) was 1-for-3 with a double and a walk, scoring once.  Mickey Storey (Toronto) struck out two in 1.2 scoreless innings, giving up a hit and a walk.

Este:  Cristhian Adames (Colorado) was 1-for-3 with a double and a walk, scoring once and driving in two.  Teoscar Hernandez (Houston) was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.  Dylan Axelrod (Cincinnati) pitched 5.1 innings, allowing one run on five hits and a walk with two strikeouts.

The game:  Trailing 1-0, Este scored six in the fourth to take control of the game.  Adames and Hernandez each had a two-run double in the inning.
