Down Under Diary: Games of November 10

An error gives Brisbane a win.

BRISBANE 2, MELBOURNE 1 IN MELBOURNE

Twins:  Logan Wade was 1-for-4 with a double for Brisbane.

Brisbane:  C. J. Beatty (White Sox) was 3-for-5.  Thomas Coyle (Tampa Bay) was 1-for-3 with a walk.  Jaspreet Shergill pitched six innings, giving up an unearned run on three hits and a walk with three strikeouts.

Melbourne:  Matt Wilson (Baltimore) pitched five shutout innings, allowing four hits and a walk with one strikeout.

The game:  A passed ball put Melbourne on the board in the sixth, and it was still 1-0 through seven.  In the eighth, Andrew Campbell's (Cleveland) RBI single tied the score and an error put Brisbane in the lead to stay.
