Hey half-baked voters. We had good turn out this month with 21 of you submitting ballots, including Can of Corn and Philosopher, who had taken some time off.

Let's get the obvious one out of the way first, shall we?

Horus Wagner

Our second player to gain election unanimously, Honus Wagner joins Christy Mathewson in the hallowed 100 percent club.

“Gettysburg Eddie” Plank

We can't spell his name here at the WGOM, but we sure do know he was a great pitcher. At least 76% of us know that. Congratulations to Gettysburg Eddie!

Joe McGinnity

Yickit was less sure of him, but he wound up voting for him anyway. McGinnity is glad, too, since Yickit's vote was the deciding one on his fifth ballot.  With 76% of the vote, we're sure he belongs in the Half-Baked Hall!

Sam Crawford

The all-time leader in triples hits another three-bagger, nabbing 86% of the vote. Sam Crawford, the WGOM will always go to third base with you.

Ed Walsh

The rich man's Addie Joss, Ed Walsh gets just enough YES votes to sneak in. The all-time leader in E.R.A. is now a member of the largest induction class for the half-baked hall. Welcome Addie!

Remaining on the Ballot (15 Players)

The winner of the non-electees was Addie Joss, storming right up near the 75% mark with three ballots to go. Fred Clark and Bill Dahlen also creep up. Bobby Wallace has the best showing of the new guys.

Jimmy Collins brief surge for third basemen everywhere appears to have stalled.

Addie Joss: 71% +10
Fred Clarke: 67% +6
Bill Dahlen: 62% +6
Clark Griffith: 62% +1
Bobby Wallace: 62%
Jimmy Collins: 48% -13
Vic Willis: 48% +9
Jake Beckley: 29% -4
Roger Bresnahan: 29% +7
Elmer Flick: 29% +7
Miller Huggins: 29% -4
Sherry Magee: 24%
Joe Tinker: 24% -4
Frank Chance: 19% -9
Hughie Jennings: 19%

Falling off the Ballot (8 Players)

Another final ballot, another guy really close to making it. Jesse Burkett falls two votes shy of induction. O'Rourke goes away quietly as expected.

Jesse Burkett: 67%
Jim O'Rourke: 38%
Harry Davis: 5%
Bill Donovan: 5%
Tommy Leach: 5%
Heinie Zimmerman: 5%
Ed Reulbach: 0%
Terry Turner; 0%

    1. I voted for him anyway, but had I known he was called "Gettysburg Eddie" it would've been a no-brainer.

  1. Son of a gun, I forgot to turn my ballot in. it was sitting in my inbox, then it got buried.
