  1. Jamie Hersch interviewing Rosario Sr now. I kind of wonder if the Twins waited until his family could make it here before playing him.

  2. Presented without comment

    1. If you could've presented it with a punch to the face, that would have been ok too.

      1. I'm tempted to ask Phil Mackey on the Twitters if he enjoys no longer having to pretend to tolerate Top Jimmy for ten minutes each day.

    2. I am no fan of Souhan, but to me, that tweet comes off as sarcasm. *shrug*

  3. FSN trivia question : Who was the last Oakland A's pitcher to lead the league in ERA?

    I know!

    1. That's amazing that it's been than long considering the park they play in and the great pitchers they have had there in the meantime. I mean if Alan Anderson can do it...

  4. My favorite analysis from Dick'n'Bert so far today was Bert explaining that Gibson's struggles earlier this season were because he was trying to strike out too many batters.

    1. Imagine how sooner Bert would have been elected to the HOF had he not struck out so many

  5. And now they're laughing about how Torii tried to hunt down Denys Baez in the opposing clubhouse after getting hit by a pitch (a story I was unaware of). Just how much "Torii being Torii" was hushed up over the years?

  6. Heh, and Torii just got hit by a pitch and didn't take the base. Of course, it just grazed him, so not nearly as badass as this

    1. It didn't look like it hit him, but I wasn't really paying attention on the one replay.

      1. Really seemed to change trajectory on the slow-mo replay; I think it got his elbow guard.

        1. It sounded like it hit him.

Went through it frame-by-frame and I think the trajectory changed when it hit the catcher's glove.

          1. the sound was what convinced me, but whatever; gave me the chance to review the Belle video (thanks DPWY).

  7. Twins winning games is fun.
The miked up benches is fun too. That little exchange between Molly & blue after ii didn't get hit was amusing.

        1. Uhh...yes. I thought that's why you referenced him. 1 HR in his career...came in his first official at-bat for the Twins (13 career hits total).

          1. First pitch was why I referenced him. Only career HR and it was the first pitch he faced.

And Gaetti holds the record for most career HR by a player that homered in his first AB. Famous relief pitcher Hoyt Wilhelm is the other fun trivia: in his long career (admittedly as a pitcher), his only career HR was his first AB.

            1. Gotcha! By looking it up, I mean that I had no idea who Andre David was, let alone why you'd be referencing him. Didn't go so far as to see it happened on the first pitch. Padre's Recap highlighted the Gaetti & Hrbek HR's as well as the Renick & David HR's. During the broadcast last night, Bert also recalled that Luke Hughes accomplishing the feat* for the Twins and made a point of announcing that "He's an Aussie ... mate!"

*Off of Max Max Scherzer of all people. Bert didn't point that out though.

  8. That was fun. I was off doing 148 other internet things, but watched most of this game. If this is a mirage, I hope it lasts at least a few weeks longer.

  9. Twins have had two double digit score while shuting out the other team this year.

The 13-0 win appears to be the largest margin of victory since a 15-0 romp of Detroit back in 1992
