  1. Give Dick Bremer some credit here, he is all over this Replay Rule about when or when not a manager can challenge.

  2. Torii Hunter tried to stretch a single into a double. Was thrown out by about 40 feet. Not even being funny.

  3. "We know E.R.A is not the perfect stat...."

Something actually said by Dick Bremer.

I think this is Bizzaro Bremer calling this game.

    1. As a general rule, I think Dick Bremer is better when he's not with Bert.

      1. As a general rule, I think Dick Bremer is better when he's not with Bert and Jack Morris

        fixed

  4. I wonder if there is an easy way to check this, but it seems like more often than not the Twins will plate runs right after giving up some the inning before.

    1. I miscounted because Mauer's double was overturned. 4 doubles so far.

  5. The Cleveland team and the Twins are in reverse roles right now. Cleveland has had a terrible season and the Twins have gotten decent enough pitching and scoring runs and winning games.

  6. Hunter is 4-4 so far. He had just one such game last year in August, all singles.

  7. Five times on base for Hunter. Sixth time in his career he's managed five times on base.

  8. I realize this bandwagon is running hard on cheap ball bearings and rubber bands, but doggonit, I'm having so much fun seeing* all these wins

*"seeing" meaning that I look at my phone and see the score

        1. Is it just me, or does Kennys Vargas look a lot like a young Papi?

It probably helps that he's hit 381/435/667 over his last six games....

  9. Did you know that this is the first time since 2010 that the Twins have been four games over .500? We're still on track for 149-13!
