                    1. Out of chaos comes order.

    1. I anticipated this being in response to your 4 cups of coffee.

Just watching gameday, but this has the feel of a game where Porcello will be largely untouchable. Hopefully they prove me wrong.

  1. Two developments I don't like:
Phil Hughes reverting to his Yankees era propensity to give up the long ball.
Joseph Patrick Mauer's gradual BA slide from .318 on April 30 to .271 through yesterday's game.

  2. The Oriental Cafe has closed (despite good reviews online so it must have been fairly recent). Love day games to make a drive go more quickly.

    1. Don't say it!

Don't even think it. This is the type of magic that disappears if you investigate it too carefully.

  3. While at the time I felt a bit down after being in attendance at the 3-2 loss last week, but looks like I can brag that I was at the last Twins' loss of the season!*

  4. You know what I like? When I have to go do some work at the start of an inning where the Twins are playing defense, and then when I come back all 3 outs are already recorded. That's nice thing.

          1. I was actually going for the native Minnesotan angle, and you gotta make fun of the guys weight!?

    1. This is my favorite day game log of the season, easily.

I'd put that in, but I actually haven't gotten any new banners since I got my new computer (months ago now) so I don't have my credentials handy.

    1. For all the moves Molitor has been making that I've liked, this one doesn't do it for me.

      1. How do you like it now?*

*though I was thinking exactly the same thing.

        1. Perfectly happy that it worked!

I just have zero faith in Duensing stranding baserunners anymore.

          1. I don't have a lot of faith in any of the relievers not named Perkins, but so far, so good.

  5. Weird. When ii grounds softly to Napoli, we score two runs. When Santana does it, it's just an out. Veteran leadership, I guess.

  6. Why is Perkins warming up if he's not going to come in here? To give him plenty of time to get ready for the ninth?

    1. You say that like there would be a platoon advantage or summat against Papi. Oh, yee of little faith. Tonkin Resolution!

    2. He pitched 4 outs last night. It went well. Could he do it again? I dunno. I hope it all works out so we don't have to second guess a third time.

      1. My point was that I couldn't understand why you'd have him warming up if you weren't going to use him against Ortiz. But all's well as ends well.

    1. Pretty sure this is the first time in about five years that it would end well.

    1. If only it hadn't come at the hands of the universally beloved Boston Puke Dawgs.

  7. Radical!

We probably haven't seen this many comments in too many day game logs in the last few years. This is getting fun again.

    1. It really, really is.

And on that note... go Yankees? That doesn't sound right...
