1. I'm thinking Sale has a pretty good shot at ten strikeouts again today.

   1. There's his ten! Needs 12 to set an MLB record, though. Don't think he'll get it now.

2. I'll be following the Jays-Rays game (Marco Estrada is perfect through six) until this potential history ends.

   Six and a third now. Nine strikeouts, even.

   1. Through seven. The Rays are making some quick outs.

      1. The Jays haven't scored either, so we might even see another Harvey Haddix!

         1. Through 5 it was two no-hitters, right?

            1. Possibly? I picked it up in the sixth.

         2. Or Pedro Martinez.

3. This is a rare time I'd be okay with playing for one run early. The Twins aren't likely to get a lot of chances against Sale, and they need to take advantage of the ones they get.

4. Okay, Hughes, there's your lead. Now celebrate your birthday by shutting down the White Sox.

5. Josh Donaldson just made a ridiculous play jumping into the second row to catch a foul ball. Seek that one out.

6. Fun while it lasted (seven and a third). Close play at first, called correctly, ended it.

7. I like that Molitor doesn't automatically play the B squad in day games.

   Someone finally dug the smoke & mirrors machine out of the closet for this one

10. I'm okay with us striking out ten times every game if we can score six runs.

11. Golden Sombrero for Buxton I guess it wasn't the leadoff spot!

    1. In his defense, a lot of guys look bad against Chris Sale.

       1. Have to agree with that, he is nasty.

    2. Also, it is apparently difficult to make contact while batting with a sprained thumb.

    Sale has a 6.46 ERA in four outings against the Twins, but a 1.88 ERA against everyone else.

    What's up with that? Not that I'm complaining.

    1. Atteberry's post-game also mentioned that; ~1/3 of his innings have been against the Twins this season

    2. Baseball is weird. Apparently Sale is the anti-Jeremy.
