  1. I've been intrigued with Kepler ever since we signed him. Looking like it's not going to be too much longer before we see him up north.

(Fun Fact! His name is "Maximilian")

    1. Kepler's journey through the minors:

Year Age Tm Lg Lev BA OBP SLG OPS
      2010 17 Twins GULF Rk .286 .346 .343 .689
      2011 18 Elizabethton APPY Rk .262 .347 .366 .714
      2012 19 Elizabethton APPY Rk .297 .387 .539 .925
      2013 20 Cedar Rapids MIDW A .237 .312 .424 .736
      2013 20 Glendale AZFL Fal .234 .306 .313 .618
      2014 21 Fort Myers FLOR A+ .264 .333 .393 .726
      2014 21 Salt River AZFL Fal .307 .366 .440 .806
      2015 22 2 Teams 2 Lgs AA-A+ .336 .407 .534 .940
      2015 22 Fort Myers FLOR A+ .250 .308 .333 .641
      2015 22 Chattanooga SOUL AA .346 .417 .556 .973

He (re-?)discovered his power this year. Except for the short time in AZL last fall, the last time he had an OPS even above .800 was when repeating Elizabethton. He's been young at every level so it's quite possible things finally clicked.

      1. That's awesome.

I've also been following him since... before he was officially in the minors, I believe. The possibility of him turning into a real major leaguer would be great.

    1. I considered him for Player of the Month, too. There wasn't a huge difference between him and Kepler.

      1. True, but I'm sure he'll have other chances for the honor. However, when you look at the season he's had compared to Kepler, but with 30 more at-bats ... Max is doing something pretty amazing and deserves the recognition.

Player Age AB BA OBP SLG OPS
        Sano 22 241 .274 .374 .544 .918
        Kepler 22 214 .317 .446 .556 .973
        1. For the season, Kepler has been the better hitter. When I do Players of the Month, though, I try to just look at that month. I think the month Kepler had was a little bit better, but not much. For that matter, Adam Brett Walker II had a pretty awesome month, too, one that a lot of times would have been good enough for Player of the Month.

              1. Yes. But I'm a gonna go with "isn't it cool that we are arguing about who should be the Twins' Minor League PotM Because Choices?"
