The game:  It was scoreless until the fifth, when a single a double, and a single produced two IronPigs runs.  In the sixth, d'Arnaud hit a three-run double to cap a four-run inning that gave the IronPigs a 6-0 lead and put the game out of reach.  The lone Red Wings run came in the seventh on a Hicks single.  The Red Wings had the bases loaded with one out, but a double play ended the inning.  They again loaded the bases in the eighth, but again did not score.

Of note:  Tanner English was 0-for-4 with a walk and a run.  Edgar Corcino was 2-for-4 with a double.  Real was 1-for-4 with a double and a walk, scoring twice.

The game:  Three Twins errors in the first inning led to three Astros runs and a 3-0 lead.  The Twins chipped away, getting a run in the third and another in the fourth, but left the bases loaded in both innings as well as in the fifth, when they did not score.  It remained 3-2 until the eighth, when a five-run inning put the game out of reach.  Cesar and Rodrigo Ayarza each had a two-run single in the inning.  The Twins stranded eleven and went 1-for-12 with men in scoring position.

Of note:  Amaurys Minier was 0-for-5.  Austin Diemer was 0-for-3 with a walk and a run.  Andro Cutera pitched four innings, giving up three runs (one earned) on two hits and two walks with three strikeouts.

Opposition stars:  Jaime Ayende was 2-for-4.  Orlando Romero pitched five innings, allowing one run on four hits and two walks with four strikeouts.

The game:  There was no score until the fifth, when the Rays got on the board on a walk, a passed ball, and two wild pitches.  The Twins evened the score in the seventh on a hit batsman, a bunt, a wild pitch, and Marrero's RBI single.  In the tenth, two singles and a double steal put men on second and third and Cabbage didn't leaf them there, singling to bring home the winning run.

Of note:  Jorge Andrade was 1-for-4 with a walk.  Brian Olson was 0-for-3 with a run.

DSL TWINS 3, DSL RED SOX1 1 AT TWINS

Batting stars:  Gorge Munoz was 1-for-3 with a triple and a walk, scoring once.  Edwin Franco was 1-for-2 with a walk and an RBI.  Jean Carlos Arias was 1-for-3 with a run and an RBI.

Pitching stars:  Danny Feliz pitched five hitless, scoreless innings, giving up two walks with three strikeouts.  Randolph Perez struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up three hits.  Luis Gil struck out two in a scoreless inning, giving up three walks.

Opposition stars:  Luis Colmenares pitched four shutout innings, giving up no hits and three walks with two strikeouts.  Willis Figueroa was 0-for-1 with three walks.  Eddy Reynoso was 1-for-3 with a walk.

The game:  Munoz tripled and scored in the first, Franco singled in a run in the second, and a wild pitch brought home a run in the third.  That would be all the Twins would need, as the Red Sox1 did not get a hit until the seventh and did not score until the ninth, when a single-plus-error put a man on third and a ground out scored him.  They did not get the tying run on base.

Of note:  Emmanuel Morel was 0-for-4.  Jorge Parra was 1-for-4.  Edgar Herrera was 0-for-1 with two walks.
