Game 134 recap. Astros a lot. Twins zero.

Joe Mauer was called out at home on a controversial play where catcher Hank Conger appeared to block the running lane before the before arrived.

The game was over after that because Mike Pelfrey was pitching.

Here is something better than that game

  1. Twins fans love to bag on Pelfrey, but he had a 1.73 xFIP for his 4 innings of work. The first run came on three ground balls. The next six runs came on a two-run homer and a grand slam. He picked a good time to give up a bunch anyways since the Twins were shut out.

He is a pretty easy pitcher to bag on because he is a veteran pitcher who pitches inconsistently like a rookie.
