    1. It is at least possible that Hunter has helped him some. I know we make fun of his "leadership", but it's not unreasonable to think that a veteran like Hunter, who's had a solid career, could be helpful to a young player. I wouldn't agree with giving him all the credit, but he may have helped.

    Plus, it has the added benefit of making sure they don't give up on him. They should really do this with all of their pitching prospects when they run into tough times before giving up on them entirely.
