  1. Losing five games in a row has not done good things for the postseason odds. On the plus side, despite losing five in a row the Twins are still above .500.

    1. What they really need to do is get the Angels behind them in the wildcard hunt again. It's one thing to catch one team, it's another to compete for it and leapfrog another team as well.

  2. So where did Tyler Duffy come from? He seems like the real deal, but he certainly wasn't one of the top prospects in the organization at the beginning of the season. He's been a pleasant surprise, in any case. And now he's officially a stopper.

    1. Gleeman ranked him 31st, citing his mediocre stuff, slow fastball, and poor strikeout rate. Something changed this year.

      1. I know in the game highlights Bert was constantly complimenting his strike 3 curveballs. I know he's no ace, but hopefully he can enjoy consistent mid-rotation success.
