1. Hard choice for me because I do not really dislike either team.
   But I'll go with the Mets because I like Mike Cuddyer and it would be nice for him to get a ring.

   1. Plus, I didn't realize until now, that Tim Teufel is their third base coach. According to my parents, he was my first favorite player!

         1. b-r stats havent updated yet, but coming into the game Cuddy was 1-8 and a BB during the playoffs
            had a .348 /.375 /.493 /.868 slash line in 72 PA with the Twins during the playoffs.

    New Technology alert: I'm watching a baseball game "broad-cast". That is, the images are sent on a signal that is sent through the air, not on wires to our homes, not on personal data.
    Everyone gets it for free! All because people love baseball so much, they realized that utilizing a "broad-cast" would be more efficient.

    1. Downside: Joe Buck.

    2. I wonder if they could use this technology to broad-cast local baseball games just to the local fans, rather than the championship series to the entire nation.
       I certainly hope they look in to that idea! Local sports broad-casts! Imagine how many fans they could attract!

13. I'm slightly leaning Royals, but I really don't care. It would be kind of cool for Wilmer Flores to win a World Series after he was devastated learning about a trade mid-season that never happened. If he walks-off one of the games at home, that would be sweet.

21. Rooting for the Royals. They've been my "little brother" AL team for a long time now, and with the Twins having a future I want the Royals to get their one last shot at glory in the here-and-now. Also, NY.

    But mostly, I want baseball to be awesome, and so far, game 1 is checking that box.
