January 31, 2016: Million Dollar Idea

A friend of mine, when we were in college, told me that he read that the average person, over the course of his life, will have seven ideas that would make him a million dollars if he just acted on them. Despite the dubious nature of the claim (how does one quantify this?), it at least had the benefit of inspiring me to become the unrealistic person I am today.

  1. I worked with a hardware guy at Emerson Electric's defense division back ~1990 that came up with an idea of embedding LEDs in a tennis shoe and putting piezoelectric switches under them to cause them to light up. When he approached a tennis shoe company, he was told "yeah, we're already working on that."

  2. Yo Doc - you been to Folsom? Am looking at a potential trail run out there. Looks like not far from Sac'istan.

    1. I have been out that way a couple of times. It is about an hour from where we live.

      Highlights include Folsom Prison.... 😉

Actually, it includes some higher-end foothills housing.

      1. Weird. He looked good last night, and the last time I really noticed (the first two games of the year), he was shooting well. But yea, he's been just as bad as ever this year.
