  1. So with the EPL closing on 2/3 complete, it would be nice to look at predictions. Mags or someone could you provide the link to the spreadsheet? I didn't find it attached to the original post.

    Some thoughts.

Well obviously Chlesea and Ieciester City are way off. But at least no one could have predicted that.

My Watford and West Ham love has been proven.

Glad I didn't extend my Tottenham won't come in 2nd or 3rd bet this year.

          1. A quick glance suggests that if Arsenal is the eventual benefactor of Leciester City coming down to earth, something like that might happen.

  2. Filed under "Things that make you go, 'Well...'."

Today is the first day of my last week in my current position. One of my colleagues came by to congratulate me and mentioned my boss is out at a conference in Colorado all week. I didn't know she was going to be gone โ€“ and she definitely didn't say goodbye/good luck last week. This is the same boss who was telling me the week before I announced my departure that she wanted to work with me until we both retired.

      1. When a great colleague of mine departed earlier this year for another position at our institution this same boss made a point of working at home on the colleague's last day.

    1. Thanks. Going well. Just waiting game for meds and discharge.

Only worry at home is that dog knocking her down!

  3. Hello old friend

  4. Went to see the dread pirate's father tide Bacchus, and witnessed a shooting. I saw the fight break out and then heard the gunshots shortly after. Pretty frighteneing experience, though nobody actually got hurt. Best outcome from a terrible situation.

      1. Yeah, I love this city, and I love living here, but these chuckleheads are crazy. A fight turns into a shooting at a parade? Totally nuts.

    1. Krzmarzick, Brinkman and Surprenant believed the last attendee passed away five years ago at the age of 99.

But then the email arrived from Joel Youngman telling Krzmarzick about his 104-year-old grandfather, Len Youngman, who lives by himself in Virginia, volunteers at the local hospital and still drives a car.

That is one spry old timer.

I have no idea what these numbers mean in context, but if anyone wants to use them to argue on the intertubes, knock yourselves out ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. This says he used "an anti-Cuban slur." My first thought was that I couldn't think of any Cuban-specific slurs.

Later the article quotes him as saying "stupid Cuban" and "f-ing Cuban," so evidently he doesn't know any, either.

  6. They posted this week's Invisibles Quiz on Monday this week, so here it is. I managed to get the evens, but none of the odds.
