A padded episode with THAT as the payoff? I might feel differently tomorrow, but I'm thinking that they parlayed what should have been a big deal into the worst episode in the show's history.
Yeah... did they really need 90 minutes for that? I think most of the build up was for Negan, rather than the death. I kinda like the way they did that, to make it more of an unknown. Also, it kept them from getting too graphic with the actual beating. I was a little concerned about how they were going to show that. I did like how they made the Saviors a huge throng of people to show that Rick definitely got in over his head. However, I'm tiring of the cliffhangers.
