Minor Details: Games of June 9

Kohl Stewart pitches much better the second time in AA.  A six-homer barrage helps him.

BUFFALO 9, ROCHESTER 6 IN BUFFALO

The Red Wings overcame deficits of 4-0 and 6-3 to tie it 6-6 in the top of the eighth, but a walk and four singles produced three Bisons runs in the bottom of the eighth to give them the victory.  The Bisons also had three stolen bases in the inning.  Andrew Albers struck out five in 5.2 innings but allowed six runs (four earned) on nine hits and no walks.  The Red Wings had only six hits but drew seven walks.  Jorge Polanco was 1-for-4 with a walk and is batting .327.  Logan Schafer was 1-for-4 with a double and a walk and is batting .321.  Nick Greenwood made a successful Rochester debut, pitching 1.1 scoreless innings.

CHATTANOOGA 15, JACKSONVILLE 1 IN CHATTANOOGA

A three-run fifth and a five-run sixth took it from 2-0 to 11-0 and put the game out of reach.  Kohl Stewart had a much better second game in AA, going six shutout innings and giving up three hits and no walks with five strikeouts.  The Lookouts hit six home runs.  Daniel Palka had two of them, his thirteenth and fourteenth, going 2-for-3 with two walks.  Leonardo Reginatto was 3-for-5 with a home run and is batting .305.  Mitch Garver was 2-for-5 with a grand slam, his third homer.  Zach Granite was 2-for-5 with a home run, his second.  Travis Harrison was 2-for-5 with a home run, his third.  Engelb Vielma did not hit a home run, but was 3-for-5 with a double and is batting .322.

FORT MYERS AT BREVARD COUNTY

Rained out.

KANE COUNTY 2, CEDAR RAPIDS 0 IN CEDAR RAPIDS

Trevor Mitsui had an RBI single in the first inning and that was all the Cougars needed.  The Kernels had five hits and made four errors.  Miles Nordgren pitched well, pitching six innings and allowing two unearned runs on seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts.  Luis Arraez was 2-for-4 with two doubles and is batting .324.  Sean Miller was 2-for-4.  LaMonte Wade was 0-for-3 and is down to .310.

Danny Contreras hit a two-run double to break a 3-3 tie in the eighth.  Edwar Colina struck out five in four innings, allowing three runs (one earned) on one hit and no walks but two hit batsmen.  Edgar Herrera was 3-for-4 with a double and is now 8-for-15 on the season.  Victor Tademo was 2-for-4 with a triple.
