  1. That book will make Troy Andrews more money than his horn ever will. The gift shop at my institution can't keep that book in stock.

    1. Fascinating. The jalapeño requested it at bedtime for the fourth straight night. I thought it might be a bit wordy for him, but I was wrong. The book has inspired him to want to start a band, and he now wants a guitar for his birthday. (He'd previously wanted nothing but Pokémon.)

  2. Also, It's more than a little too hot outside to be eating fried dough and drinking hot coffee while sitting outside. Have I mentioned that it's hot outside?

  3. Am I allowed to take a pass on July 4th Twins tickets because I'd rather go picnic or to the lake or any number of other things?
I need an absolution from somebody authoritative, please.

      1. God grants us freedom of choice, but God generally makes us deal with the consequences of our choices.

    1. No!

(I'd actually say yes, but a vote with 100% yeses might raise suspicions.)

  4. We narrowed our choices down on all-electric cars to the Chevy Spark EV or the VW e-Golf and we went out today and test drove them. If money is no issue, I think we'll go with the e-Golf, primarily because of extra space. It seats 5 instead of 4 and has about twice the cargo room in the back (both are hatchbacks). However, the Spark is less expensive and does have a more powerful engine. We decided the e-Golf had enough power for our needs/tastes since we test drove it with 3 adults, a teen and a tween in the car with the air conditioning going on a hot day and I did not notice any sluggishness. In fact, I was unintentionally speeding at on point. Now, I think we're going to wait to see what kind of deals come along before making a final decision.
